Kante

“Kante” is German for an edge in a graph.

Kante is a small application that let’s you link any object on your desktop with any other object. You can link people in you address book to other people, events in iCal to people that attend those events, a picture to the people who are in it – you can really link anything you want. All those links are then stored in Spotlight, so that you can search for them later.

There is a short screencast about Kante. It is currently without comment, but there is a script that shows you what the comment would be, if it were there.

Kante uses the fabulous SpotMeta extension to Spotlight, and if you want to try out Kante, you need to install SpotMeta as well.
